Two bodies of CTEVT staffers missing in Sunkoshi River found

Kathmandu : The bodies of two people who went missing after their vehicle fell into the Sunkoshi River have been found. One more person is missing.

A vehicle fell into the Sunkoshi River on June 2 from Golanjor Rural Municipality-7 Laukun of Sindhuli on the Ghurmi-Khurkot section.

Sindhuli Police Chief SP Rajkumar Silwal informed that two bodies were found inside the vehicle on Tuesday afternoon.

The bodies found have not been identified. Preparations are underway to take the bodies to Sindhuli District Hospital for post-mortem.

Director of Administration Branch Krishna KC, Director of Planning Division Prem Prasad Bhurtel and Electrical Technician Bhanu Paudel went missing when the CTEVT vehicle fell into the river. The driver of the vehicle, Krishna Chaudhary, managed to escape death by swimming ashore.

A diving team of the Armed Police Force has been mobilized to search for the missing. The vehicle was found after the rescue team blocked the major portion of the river with a temporary dam and turned it back to the west.

DSP Shailendra Thapa, Assistant Spokesperson of the APF, said that divers are searching for a missing person.
