NAC airbus with 253 Nepalis on board took off from Tel Aviv for Kathmandu

Kathmandu : Nepal Airlines Corporation plane carrying 253 Nepalis from Israel has left for Kathmandu.

A Nepal Airlines airbus A330 with stranded 253 Nepalis on board took off from Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for Kathmandu.

It is said that the plane will land at Tribhuvan International Airport around 1:30 am tonight (Friday). The NAC’s plane with the crew members led by Captain Shrawan Rijal of the NAC had been sent to war-torn Israel to rescue the stranded Nepalis. Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud had gone to Israel on this plane for the rescue of Nepalis.

Ealier, it was informed by the Foreign Ministry that the NAC airbus with 250 passengers on board would land at the Tribhuvan International Airport at 9 pm.

Ten Nepali students were killed, four sustained injuries, two escaped unhurt, and one went missing in the surprise attack carried out by the Palestinian rebel group Hamas at Kibbutz Alumin in the southern Israel on Saturday morning (October 7).

The government has opened an online application for those who want to return to Nepal. Out of those who filed online forms seeking repatriation, the NAC plane is bringing 253 Nepalis to Kathmandu today.
